Chapter 3's Figure 2 is a bar chart indicating the number of persons in the Study of High-risk Samples by age in 1992. The largest number (N = 1,165) was found in the 20 to 24 year-old group. After age 25, the number of individuals drops rapidly, going from 1,004 in the 25 to 29 year-old group to 1 case in the 85 to 89 year-old group.
