Figure 2.4 is a bar chart indicating the percentages of youths aged 12 to 17 reporting different responses to parental monitoring items. The chart indicates that most parents always or sometimes limited the time that youths spent with friends on school nights, made youths do work/chores around the house, helped youths with homework if needed, and checked to make sure that youths did their homework. Most parents did not limit the time that youths spent watching television.
