Figure 2.1 is a bar chart indicating the percentages of youths aged 12 to 17 reporting that they somewhat or strongly agreed with community disorganization and crime items. The chart indicates that among youths, 22.1 percent agreed their neighborhood had a lot of crime, 25.7 percent agreed there was a lot of drug selling, 14.1 percent agreed there were a lot of street fights, 11.1 percent agreed there were many empty or abandoned buildings, 15.3 percent agreed there was a lot of graffiti, and 30.5 percent agreed that people move in and out often.
